Fashion: Best Of Autumn Looks

Image
London and life have been super busy lately. With this in mind and 90% of my wardrobe back in Germany, I haven’t had much time to work on a new ootd post. In addition, writers block has struck me for the very first time in over a year and half of blogging which doesn’t make my writing life much easier. To get my motivation and style inspiration back, I scrolled through my archive and came across last year’s autumn posts. Some of them cover my favs looks and luckily the fashion hasn’t changed much this season. Fair to say it’s time to re-share my best autumn outfits.  The Blanket Wrap Blanket wraps are still on trend this AW and I love how uncomplicated they are to style. Effortlessly they transform any basic outfit in an instant. Plus everyone loves to snuggle up and keep warm so technically you can take your blanket out into the real life and still look fashionable. This year, capes and ponchos are on the same must-have level.  Capes: sleevless coats, Blanket Wraps: a tailo...

Fashion: Sky Garden OOTD

Image
Hi ladies, how are you? I revisited Sky Garden in Fenchurch Street and this time the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Together with my friend Izas we enjoyed the warm and sunny afternoon on the viewing platform and also used the opportunity for a quick outfit shoot. Hope you’ll enjoy. Back in May I came to Sky Garden in London for the very first time and loved the exclusive venue immediately. It’s more of a nice place to hang out with friends and enjoy the breath-taking views rather than a garden. As I’ve said in my initial post the venue has an incredible lightning which is perfect for outfit shoots. With this in mind it was only a matter of time for me to return and to do so. My friend Izas who has recently moved to Manchester came to London for a few days and she kindly took the pictures for today’s fashion post. Izas is an amazing hobby photographer so please give her a follow on Twitter and if you need someone to help out taking pictures for your blog, I’m sure she woul...

Fashion: Black Chic For Bloggers Love Fashion Week

Image
Hi ladies, Bloggers Love once again calls to the community to join their Bloggers Love Fashion Week event on 7th September in London. I've been to their events a few times which you can find here , here and here . Though the events are known for being overcroweded I'm excited to go and to hopefully meet some of you lovelies in person. I will attend both sessions. Have you seen the trending #BLFW over on Twitter yet? Lots of fblogger, bblogger and lblogger will join Bloggers Love's Fashion Week event in September and everyone is already super excited. There's a dress code this time with the very simple and safe instruction 'Black Chic'. You can never go wrong with a LBD, can't you? I'm not 100% sure if I will stick to my outfit, but here is my choice for now. I've got a very classy dress from Topshop, which I had for a while as I no longer buy in Topshop. The material is super comfy and it sits very flattering. The cut and style is super sophisticate...

Fashion: Covent Garden OOTD

Hi ladies, how are you? I'm back in London for the month and I'm seriously considering moving here permanently in September/October. As you know my partner Alex lives and works here and of course I'd like to be where he is. So I've been applying for zillions of jobs and inbetween enjoying the city. My friend Izas has recently moved from Spain to Manchester and came down to London for a few days. She is an amazing photographer and she was so kind to shoot the pictures for today's outfit post. Hope you'll enjoy :) Fashion In Covent Garden/Seven Dials Area  The area around Covent Garden and the Seven Dials is one of my favourite when visiting London. It is funky, it is trendy but at the same time classy and arty. There are lots and lots of wonderful places to shoot so we joked around taking pictures from several different angles and it was hilarious when people stopped and watched us. My casual outfit consists of a simple black crochet dress from Stradivarius (ser...

Fashion: In A German Garden OOTD

Image
Hi ladies how are you? Leggings made a big revival last year with the introduction of a very quirky but unique pattern: kaleidoscope! You may remember these little toy tubes filled with pearls, coloured glass, gems and little sequins that would create the most stunning patterns when the tube was rotated. Inside was a lens of a prism that would change the pattern and sequence of elements permanently. Kaleidoscopes have fascinated me since my childhood and the creation of unique and fleeting patterns has carried me away into a world full of wonders and imagination for hours. This principle has inspired the fashion industry in 2014 and Kaleidoscopic prints became a popular trend. I was fortune enough to come across a Bristol-based artist who designed ethically and sustainable psychedelic leggings with the mesmerising effect. The unusual designs glam up the casual lounge wear and the original 80's fashion item as we know it, did no longer exist as a boring basic versions of black and ...

Fashion: Liberty London OOTD

Image
Hi ladies, how are you? During my holiday in London I was lucky to spend an entire day with my friend Karen from StyleSunrise . We’ve met a few times before and we would have a busy day filled with blogging events and fun. On our way through central we went past the flower bouquets at Liberty’s and couldn’t resist to do a quick picture swap for ootds. Karen and I were on our way to our first CatalystPR beauty event when we saw the beautiful flowers and arrangements outside the luxurious department store. It was still rather quiet on the streets of London so we took the opportunity to use the perfect setting for an outfit shoot. I’m wearing a polka dot dress from Forever 21 which is currently in the sale. Though it is made of polyester and the material has a little plastic feeling to it, the skater dress is very light and at no point did it make me feel uncomfy or sweaty. My jewellery includes a dainty rose gold heart pendant necklace from Buckley London and my Daniel Wellington watch...

Fashion: Canary Wharf Day Out #OOTD

Image
Hi everyone, London is always worth a visit and now that my Alex has moved there, chances that I can return more often to the capital are very high. The trip was first and foremost to see him and spent some time together. As you all know life sadly never works in the way it should causing circumstances which are hard to change, so at the moment we rarely see each other. Goes without saying that any chance that comes along to change that has to be taken! I booked myself into Travelodge for a few nights and we would see each other in the mornings and after work. Over the weekend however, we enjoyed a little shopping spree at Westfield in Stratford and explored the Canary Wharf area for the very first time. We watched the new Ryan Reynold’s film Self/less at West India Quays and then strolled along the magnificent business area. Though I went passed the HSBC tower a few times on the DLR and daydreamt myself away working at Reuters, I never walked around this part of London. I found it ver...
