Fashion: Sky Garden OOTD

Sky Garden OOTD Fashion Post
Hi ladies, how are you? I revisited Sky Garden in Fenchurch Street and this time the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Together with my friend Izas we enjoyed the warm and sunny afternoon on the viewing platform and also used the opportunity for a quick outfit shoot. Hope you’ll enjoy.

Back in May I came to Sky Garden in London for the very first time and loved the exclusive venue immediately. It’s more of a nice place to hang out with friends and enjoy the breath-taking views rather than a garden. As I’ve said in my initial post the venue has an incredible lightning which is perfect for outfit shoots. With this in mind it was only a matter of time for me to return and to do so.

My friend Izas who has recently moved to Manchester came to London for a few days and she kindly took the pictures for today’s fashion post. Izas is an amazing hobby photographer so please give her a follow on Twitter and if you need someone to help out taking pictures for your blog, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind doing so!

The styling idea behind the outfit was to mix as many textures as possible. There is leather picked up by my MK handbag and ankle boots; lace in the dress and the fedora is 100% wool. The bright pink blazer, as worn by Mary Berry on the first episode of this year’s GBBO, is made of polyester, but it has a soft and comfy feeling to it.

A little white dress (LWD) is a true wardrobe essential and there are some fantastic ones available this season. Stradivarius has a great selection of white crochet dresses and Urban Outfitters is worth a look, too. Mine is from Pins & Needles and it looks amazing on its own, but also when teamed up with a blazer. The popping colour of my Louche blazer adds freshness to the outfit. I would usually not chose this colour but I couldn’t resist with this one, as it is so nicely tailored and can either be worn to work or in your leisure time. The fedora is made of 100% wool and was a true bargain from Primark. Can you believe it was only £8? I’ve seen similar ones at ASOS and River Island and at both retailers the fedoras never started under £30. It feels super soft and the ‘flop’ falls nicely and natural, something I didn’t expect from Primark.
