Fashion: City Break Copenhagen

city break copenhagen fashion post

When you're on a city break exploring town centres and wandering around streets all day, you want your outfit to be casual. Depending on the weather most of us also make sure that our outfit is practical  - and since we are on a holiday - stylish. When I relaxed in Copenhagen a few weekends ago, I decided that my recently bought Oasis Anchor Blouse and khaki green Zara trousers make a perfect match for an all day out. Let me tell you all about the style!

You may have seen my Oasis Anchor Blouse in my Daydreaming in Kensington post and it has been an absolute favourite of mine ever since. The piece has a super flattering cut and the print of anchors all over is so cute. The blouse is not only ideal for the office, but versatile and easy to style which makes it a great fashion piece to wear with literally anything. The material is light and airy for the summer, and in winter I can see it peaking under a jumper.

For a summery day out in Copenhagen, I decided to combine the blouse with khaki green trousers from Zara. I usually don't wear trousers or jeans that often and I think this might be the first time on Style Lingua that I'm showing you guys an OOTD in trousers!

Shot in the beautiful surroundings of the Kastellet Park, north of the town centre, I spotted this pretty Windmill and together with Alex and Mille, we all had a relaxing break enjoying the warm weather and tranquility of the area.

The Zara trousers are super stylish and Ooooh so comfy. I love the zipper pocket details on the top which are further highlighted through a ruffled pattern and the zippers on the legs. It makes it so easy to just get your legs out and sunbath! At first I was quite reserved about coloured trousers, but this one has proven to be an absolute all-rounder. Not only is it chic and classy, it is of high quality and hasn't lost its colour after all the washes it has gone through already. I've been literally living in those for weeks.

Shoe-wise I opted for a comfy pair of Dune flats, as they are perfect to walk around with all day. My black ballerinas feature a ponyhair detail on the heel which is an instant eye-catcher. Ponyhair came to my fashion attention in 2014, were a massive shoe trend in 2015 and has ever since remained one of my favourite materials.

My accessories are basics, such as my classic Daniel Wellington Watch and wooden framed Clubmaster Sunglasses from Ray Ban. My bag is a recent fashion find from ASOS. I love the style and shape which reminds me very much of the Chloe handbags that you'll see on IG, but at a fraction of the price. At £40 this leather satchel is a wonderful companion for a stroll around the city.

Here's What I'm Wearing:

Anchor Blouse: Oasis (current SS16, £38)
Khaki Jeans: Zara (current SS16, £35)
Ponyhair Flats: Dune (SS15, £59)
Leather Structured Saddle Bag: ASOS (current AW15/16, £45)
Watch: Daniel Wellington (£169)
Sunglasses: Ray Ban Clubmasters with wooden frame (SS15, £270)

Thank you so much for checking out today's fashion post. What kind of outfit do you prefer on a city break? Have you picked up any summer must-haves lately? Let me know, I read and appreciate every comment.

Till next time,
