Fashion: Blue Vanilla OOTD Style Post

Happy Easter to you all and I'm sorry Thursday's post had to move to today. A cold struck me down for a few days but I'm fine now and hope everyone enjoys the holidays. I don't want to keep you away too long for the Easter family fun, that's why today's post is just a quick style post filled with pictures. Hope you'll enjoy.

The Blue Vanilla dress* (via EtailPR) was sent to me a while ago and when I first wore it, it didn't suit me at all. It literally had no tailoring and though it's a small size, it would hang like a linen sack from my shoulders (should have taken pictures, but forgotten to do so) - not very flattering! I brought it to the dress maker and she was able to fix it. She fitted the dress to my measurements and tailored it nicely. It is still a bit casual but has a lovely shape now. You can either team it up with a collarless coat or wear it on its own with some accessories.

Shoes: Primark (summer season 2012/2013, £4)
Collarless Jacket: Pimkie (current spring season 2015, 60€/£50)
Watch Necklace: Dorothy Perkins (spring season 2010, £12)
Bag: Kate Spade via Bicester Village (current season 2015, £79)

I love that the dress is made of a thick material which makes it similar to a tapestry dress and you can wear it for those chilly spring days.

    Lovely dress - I was thinking how it was shaped perfectly and then read that you had it tailored - I need to do that with some of my dresses as they never quite fit me correctly! I like how you've styled your hair to complement the look too x

Film: My Top Three Christmas Movies

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without the wonderful films that you can watch all over again to get into the festive mood. Ever since I moved out of my parents home, it is my very own tradition to watch a film on the evening of the 24th December (instead of unwrapping presents) and then celebrate Christmas in the morning of the 25th. Some of the films are mostly anime and cartoon-based as they remind me of my childhood and I feel that these movies bring back that special festive magic which I experienced as a child. Lifestyle: The Stationery Show In London 2015

Hi ladies, today's post is a quick round up of my trip to the Stationery Show in London. You may remember that in late April, Britain celebrated National Stationery Week and I included a few posts on my favourite stationery brands and a piece on handwriting including a  review of Sheaffers Sagaris pen on Style Lingua. On the 28/29 April the Business Design Centre in Islington hosted a fair - the Stationery Show and highlight of #NatStatWeek. I'm an addict when it comes to stylish journals and shiny writing instruments so I made my way over to London and checked out the latest stationery trends.  The two day fair was held at the Business Design Centre which is a short walk from the tube station Angel. I arrived at around 11am and after I picked up my press badge, I found myself in the midsts of stationery lovers and brands waiting for me to get discovered.
