Lifestyle: Writing Is Forever
When was the last time you’ve received a handwritten letter or wrote one yourself ? Call me old fashioned but I’m still very excited when I receive a handwritten letter instead of an email. A beautiful handwriting to me is art and a far more personal and thoughtful way of communicating with each other.
Did you know that handwriting is a mirror of our personality and can reflect over 5,000 individual character traits? My handwriting for example is centered which reflects my logical way of thinking and practical nature. The average size of my writing reveals I’m a well-adjusted and adaptable person, though my romantic style also says I’m sensitive and often seek compromise over conflict.
Handwriting analysis is so diverse have you’ve ever tried it? The way our handwriting looks, if neat or sloppy, is effected by our writing tool. I once bought an expensive pen and was told by the retailer that there are ‘pens’, the countless ones we all have at home lying around, and then there are ‘writing instruments’, which can take our writing to the next level.
Writing instruments are of course expensive but of high quality and exceptionally manufactured. The word instrument implies the creative and arty purpose a quality pen was designed for. As I’ve said earlier, a neat and characteristic handwriting is fine art after all.
With National Stationery Week approaching (27th April - 3rd May), I received an extraordinary writing instrument by Sheaffer*. This metallic brown roller ball pen is from their Sagaris collection, a series of luxury pens also available as fountain pen or roller point.
The exquisite design features a glossy lacquer finish with chrome plate trim with the brand’s name delicately engraved in the tapered cap. The instrument’s gripping section allows optimal comfort and control which makes writing effortless and easy.
The black ink dries within seconds and allows a natural flow which makes your handwriting look elegant and graceful. It is manufactured so well, with the screw cap fitting precisely. Even when you insert the refill, every part pieces back together perfectly. This instrument is a timeless companion which makes any writing a special occasion.
Sheaffer writing instruments come with a luxurious gift box for a safe storage. The case also includes the ink refill and a three year warranty certificate.
The Sheaffer Sagaris writing instrument is available at around £40.
Thank you so much for reading today's post and I hope you'll be joining me on my next adventure. When was the last time you’ve written a letter? Do you prefer fountain pens over biros? Do you think handwriting will die out? What are key characteristics of your handwriting? I'd love to see, so please feel free to leave me a picture/comment in the comment section below or send me a picture via my social media. I'm looking forward hearing from you.
Till next time,
xx CAZ xx
Hi there Caz, how are you doing? I really enjoyed reading your post. Unfortunately though I have more of a sloppy type of handwriting lol. I am left-handed too so I wonder if that really makes a difference. This pen looks really nice. I think great quality pens like this really do make a difference in writing. I always thought it would be fun to have a pen pal and actually write letters to each other back and forth. I would have to take my time writing though because it go slow then my handwriting is okay lol. I hope all is well with you! <3 xo
ReplyDeleteOoph, I love a nice pen. Back in school, my friend and I used to write letters to each other (we lived a long way from each other!) - something I haven't done for a long time!
ReplyDeleteAlso, national stationery week!? Is that an excuse to go out and buy lots of notebooks...? x
The deep bronze colour of this pen is so luxurious and chic, that is certainly a pen I would use on a regular basis! It's nice to know you also like handwritten letters, as I do too! I always write thank you letters after birthdays, Christmas and other important times.. although I also have a tendency to over-decorate cards as well and so my letters often end up looking as though a five year old has written them haha! :)

I think a pen is personal and will set you for life, and remind you that interacting through letters is more personal! I think some people lose touch of writing nowadays when technology makes it easier to process information! I love the style of this pen, I'd be proud to carry it around with me :P

This Sheaffer pen/writing instrument looks gorgeous! I'm more of a cheap biros person simply because I keep losing my pens. However, I'd definitely invest in a good writing tool when I eventually get my own home office. ;) x
ReplyDeleteI still love getting handwritten letters or cards for Christmas or my birthday! It's one of the last things that hasn't changed. I refuse to let it I should say! However, everytime I say I need to write in a notebook or something it never happens. My toes (I do everything with my feet - can't use my fingers!) can hardly grip onto a pen/pencil anymore. I also feel like my writing has gotten very slobby than what it was a few years ago, people still admire it but you can clearly see the change.
ReplyDeleteReally? I didn't know that. I really want to start working with brands soon, but I feel like there won't be very much for me because of my disability. Please get back to me if you hear anything about that, that would be really neat! :)
ReplyDeleteOh really! That would be so great to own a left handed pen!! I know they make left handed notebooks which are really nice. I use to have one. Thank you so much for the lovely comment too!! I have been doing really great lately :D I am so glad to hear you're doing well. It's always a pleasure to stop by here <3 xx
ReplyDeleteI always use a Biro and I'm always writing hand written letters and notes even though the recipents all find it strange to have them from me, I love it! My handwriting is atrocious though!

Such a lovely post! I'm always intrigued by handwriting psychology as my handwriting can look one way for a month or two and then completely change. Also, that pen is so beautiful!!xx
ReplyDeleteI adore handwritten letters. Have you come across #MoreLoveLetters? Might be right up your street if you like letters. There is something about receiving that envelope through the door rather than just a ping as another email hits the inbox.
