Lifestyle: When You're In London, You Should...

London is my favourite city. Not only because of the famous sights and excellent shopping locations, but also for its vibrant energy and life is constantly buzzing around you. It makes me feel alive in every single moment when I'm there.

The tube allows easy and effortless travel around and there's always something going on in London. Whether it is free ice cream in Spitalfields Market, a pop-up labyrinth in Trafalgar Square (2010) or Magnum store (2012) or a film premiere. This city never sleeps and will always surprise you!

|Visit Fopp And Spend Endless Time Looking For DVD Deals

Fopp is located north of the Seven Dials on Earlham Street/ Shaftsbury Avenue. It is an alternative music and DVD store and I never leave without a bargain. The DVD's start from £2.99 and amongst blockbuster movies, you'll find international cinema, Japanese animes or indie films. Going there and spending hours looking for unique films and bargains is something I love doing. You can find some treasures in there and the atmosphere is always chillaxed. Staff is friendly and the collection neat and tidy. If you love films as much as I do and are on the hunt for some great bargains then this is your address.

|Eat Pizza At Franco Manca's | Westfield Stratford

The best pizza place in London is Franco Manca's, a chain that is now in various locations all over town, but my favourite branch is the Westfield/Stratford one. You'll find it on the top level in the food court. Franco Manca's make sourdough pizza at affordable prices. The food is made of fresh ingredients and prepared in front of your eyes. You can watch every step from start via it goes into the stone oven to finish. My favourite pizza is number 6 for £6.85, which comes with wild mushrooms, Gloucester old spot ham, mozzarella and buffalo ricotta. The savory taste from the ham, combined with the strong, creamy cheese on a soft dough is simply delicious.

|Have A Stroll Along Bankside

When I'm in London, I'll make sure there's some time for a walk along the Thames on the south bankside. You can start the tour in the west part of Central and walk over to the east side of London. Start at The Houses of Parliament (Tube: Westminster), then cross Westminster Bridge, pass the London Dungeons and the Eye and continue your walk. The path along the Thames has so many to offer.

At low tide, there's a little beach section just after the National Theatre. There will always be an artist to craft something at this beach. Last week, someone formed a Homer Simpson into the sand. When you continue, you'll also pass the former Tudor red light district (where the crime museum, costa and pret are), see a replica of Francis Drake's ship, feel the vibes around the Globe theatre and discover some wonderful eating places.

After Southwark Cathedral and London Bridge, you can go shopping at Hay's Gallery, an open planned mall, discover the HMS Belfast or simply enjoy the view on Tower Bridge. I've eaten several times at the Strada that is next to the Town Hall and there, you have an amazing environment to watch life walking by in a stunning scenery of Tower Bridge.

Finish your walk crossing Tower Bridge and take the tube at Tower Hill. The walk takes around 2h (depends how fast you walk and how much you'd like to see). A shorter version would start at St. Pauls, cross Millennium Bridge and walk towards London Bridge.

|Enjoy A Freebee At Spitalfields Market

London is a never resting place and there will always be a special promotion around. Last year, Ben & Jerry's stopped by for their free ice cream cone tour and I've got a plastic shovel spoon that reminds me of that day. Just by accident I found the Mars ice cream van standing in Spitalfields Market, offering free ice cream to visitors last time when I visited the area with my friends Annie and Katie. We were cheeky and even got a picture taken in the van :).

I know some of these activities are very ordinary and a Londoner can have the experience every day. There is so much to see and to discover when you explore Central, so to me, these activities are connected to having a wonderful time and they create unique memories of every trip down to London.
