The wardrobe is home to our precious clothes and today I’d like to share some organisational tips and tricks on how to tame the chaos in your closet. First of all, the wardrobe you chose needs to work for you and if it doesn't then neither will it work for your style. Don’t know what I mean? Well, a great organised wardrobe presents you all of your fashion neatly and not in chaos. Can you find socks quickly at first hand when you need them? Can you tell the exact position of those heels? And do you know in which stack your favourite shirt lies in? A perfectly structured wardrobe helps you to find your outfit in seconds. That’s why you have to find out which wardrobe system works best for you. |1. The Anatomy of a Wardrobe| Organising starts even before you've bought your wardrobe. Select one with a clear structure and think about what works best for you, otherwise you’re lost in chaos later. Here’s the system that works best for me: This is the shape of one of my wardrobes at h...

Lifestyle: The Ten Benefits Of Blogging. Part 1: Benefits 1-5

Image
Hi everyone, I’ve been blogging for the past seven month and I enjoy my new hobby very much. It’s not just a hobby and relaxing to write and spot new stories to shout about, it also combines a huge variety of skills that are asked for in many job descriptions these days. Blogging can be a great way of showcasing many skills such as web analytics, writing, design, content creation and networking. Blogging helps to either learn these skills, train or hone them to perfection. I've listed the ten most effective and beneficial skills you can develop during blogging, which you should use to your advantage and boost your CV. Here's the first part. Hope you’ll enjoy! |1. Planning & Organising| Your blog needs content which is created through various text forms. An excellent piece needs great preparation. Personally I don't like writing the same as everyone else, nor do I enjoy reading about what other bloggers had for breakfast. That is highly boring and not considered as '...

Lifestyle: Your Lunch Break Sorted. Fine Dining At Vapiano

Image
Vapiano is a restaurant chain, known for its affordable prices, chic interior design and freshly cooked meals. Serving Italian dishes, many come here for fine dining at lunch or meeting friends in a relaxed atmosphere. With its fresh and modern design, Vapiano is popular and very stylish. Vapiano’s concept is very unusual. When you get in, you are greeted by a receptionist and receive a card, which is charged every time you order food or drinks. You then take place at one of their trendy wooden tables, decorated with soft lightening and fresh herbs. Second unusual thing about this restaurant is that you can watch the cook prepare your meal in front of you. The menu, which comes in German and English, has classic Italian pasta dishes, antipasti, pizza and salad. When you’ve decided for your meal, you go to the appropriate counter and order your food. Pizza : You pay with your card and receive a buzzer. It will vibrate as soon as your pizza is ready to collect. I can approve all of their...

Fashion: Autumn Fashion Check In Berlin. The Trends For The Season

Image
September is here and slowly we have to say good bye to our light summer dresses and shorts. But the coming autumn season has some great fashion pieces (literally) in store for us. I went around the shops to check out some bargains and It pieces which you can use to glam up your autumn outfits when you go back to school, uni or work. When I went shopping in Berlin recently, I found some super stylish items. Don't worry, I've listed UK alternatives for those of you who can't make it to Germany :) |Autumn 2014: The Style| Autumn looks are a combination of light materials (summer) and warm elements such as wool or fake fur (autumn) for cooler days. A perfect match is this tartan dress and fluffy cardigan from Primark UK teamed up with some plain accessories. Another super cute outfit is this white dress with a fake fur vest from Pimkie GER. |Autumn 2014: The Colours| Standard colours for autumn in the German fashion sphere are clich é berry and fawn shades. I think this year,...

Fashion: Gwen Stefani Style Crush. OOTD Post

Image
September is here and I'm happy to announce that this month I'm collaborating with Vinted UK and will support their #MyVintedCloset blogger campaign! This month will be packed with back to school/uni/work outfits, a post on decluttering your wardrobe effectively and I went shop-hunting for some amazing autumn fashion check in Berlin  for some cool autumn accessories and must-haves. My favourite season has started and I particularly like the warmth of the remaining summer heat teamed with the colouring of the leaves, the clear fresh air and the bright blue sky. To reflect the season, I came up with this outfit inspired by Gwen Stefani. I think this look is very classy and stylish and would be perfect for school, uni or work. To give it the ultimate twist of summer and autumn, I've combined different styles and fabrics. Key to this style is the so-called 'Onion Principle', which means to wear different layers of clothes that you can take off during the day when the t...

Fashion: Tried And Tested. SheInside Review

Image
You've probably heard about Sheinside.com, the popular online shop with incredible clothes at affordable prices. Their stunning outfits and clothes are literally found on any decent fashion blog - you just can't escape this on-trend website in the blogger-sphere. Anyway, I've spent a while silently watching the online shop and lusting over some dresses and their luring prices. Through a recent, very upsetting online purchase on jewellery I got careful with buying from the internet and check now more than twice if it is worth buying online or not. So, I researched Sheinside.com and came across numerous disappointing reviews, ranging from 'the clothes are cheap quality' via 'the clothes have weird sizes' to 'the parcel never arrived, my money is gone and the customer service only replies in broken English'. Great - clearly a sign to stay away. However, my curiosity had no limits so I spent more time on reading reviews and voilà , also came across posit...
